About the Examinations Directorate
Established in 2016 by the Academic Vice-Chancellery of Khatam al-Nabieen University as an independent department, the Examinations Directorate was created to improve and expedite collective examination processes at the university. It currently oversees all examinations, including entrance exams (Kankor), for all disciplines offered at Khatam al-Nabieen University.
Competencies and Responsibilities of the Examinations Directorate
- Setting the examination calendar;
- Planning and managing theoretical and practical exams;
- Administering exams assigned by instructors;
- Managing end-of-semester examinations;
- Overseeing the Examination Committee;
- Reviewing student requests for excused/makeup exams;
- Addressing student concerns regarding exams and grades;
- Verifying scattered grades in the system;
- Monitoring timely submission of grades for practical exams and clinical assessments;
- Safeguarding the examination and grading system;
- Supervising the archiving of all examination records;
- Developing student admission policies;
- Managing and conducting entrance exams (Kankor);
- Monitoring the Kankor registration process;
- Implementing decisions of the Kankor Committee;
- Reviewing and finalizing student enrollment tables;
- Submitting examination and Kankor reports at the end of each semester.
Recent Changes and Organizational Structure
The Examinations Directorate operates under the Students Affairs Vice-Chancellery and is responsible for conducting and supervising collective examination processes at Khatam al-Nabieen University. It comprises two units.
Mr. Engineer Naqibullah Sitarzadah has served as the Director of Examinations since 2021. Holding a master’s degree in engineering, he has held various managerial roles at Khatam al-Nabieen University and other institutions since 2014.
Work Process
The Examinations Directorate conducts and manages exams annually through the following committees:
- Midterm Exams;
- Instructor-Assigned Exams;
- Practical Exams;
- Final Semester Exams;
- Makeup/Conflict Exams;
- Entrance Exams (Kankor).
Committee members and exam supervisors (comprising faculty deans and administrative staff) are proposed by the Examinations Directorate and appointed in coordination with the Students Affairs Vice-Chancellery.
