History of the University

Khatam Al-Nabieen (PBUH) University is one of the quality-driven private higher education institutions, established in 2007 with the efforts of the esteemed scholar, the late Ayatollah Mohammad Asif Mohseni (RA), and the collective efforts of several intellectuals, under the official authorization of the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan. It began its academic and scientific activities in the spring of 2008 by enrolling its first batch of students in the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Law. Since its establishment, a total of 4,186 students have graduated from the bachelor’s level, and 1,014 students have graduated from the master’s level. Currently, around four thousand students are studying in twelve academic programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels in the main campus and the Ghazni branch. The students of this university are studying in the fields of Jurisprudence and Law, Political Science, Qur’anic Sciences, Business Economics, Business Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Medical Medicine, Dentistry, Medical Technology, Midwifery, and the fields of International Relations, International Law, and Criminal Law and Criminology at the master’s level.

Khatam Al-Nabieen (PBUH) University, by providing a suitable scientific and research environment along with modern facilities and equipment, is one of the most important non-governmental institutions that has created the opportunity for collaboration, teaching, and research for a group of scholars and professors. Currently, in this university, more than 60 full-time faculty members and 150 contract faculty members with doctoral and master’s degrees are engaged in teaching and research, and over a hundred staff members are working in various protective, service, and administrative departments of the university.
