The Faculty of Medical Technology at Khatam Al-Nabieen University(PBUH), in collaboration with the Research Committee of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, held a four-day workshop on “Working with Laboratory Animals (Theory and Practice)” from November 1 to November 4, 2025, aimed at enhancing the scientific capacity of faculty members and students.
In the theoretical section of this workshop, scientific discussions related to the definition and types of laboratory animals, principles of nutrition and care, criteria for housing and disposal of animals, and adherence to ethical standards in working with animals were presented by Professor Dawood Hosseini, the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Technology.
The practical section of the workshop was conducted by Professor Mortaza Haidari, Director of the University Research Center, and Professor Dawood Hosseini, where participants became familiar with concepts such as animal handling, various injection methods, blood sampling techniques, and dissection of laboratory animals.
This program was held with the active and widespread participation of faculty members and students in the scientific and research environment of the university. The aim of the workshop was to increase the practical knowledge of faculty members and students in working with laboratory animals, strengthen research skills, and promote a culture of responsible and ethical research in medical sciences.
