About the Directorate of Professional Development Center

The Directorate of the Professional Development Center is one of the subordinate departments under the supervision of the university’s President. A director heads this department, aiming to enhance the capacity of the university’s academic and non-academic staff through planning and activities. In this regard, the center has been able to organize various training workshops, seminars, and educational programs.

  1. Preparing and organizing needs assessment forms to identify the essential and real professional needs of all university staff;
  2. Distributing needs assessment forms among all university staff;
  3. Collecting and analyzing data to accurately identify the professional needs of staff;
  4. Planning and implementing professional development programs to enhance the teaching capabilities of the academic staff;
  5. Planning and implementing professional development programs to enhance the research capabilities of the academic staff;
  6. Planning and implementing professional development programs to improve the capabilities of administrative staff;
  7. Organizing planned capacity-building programs for professors and staff on a semester basis;
  8. Evaluating the effectiveness of implemented programs and identifying their strengths and weaknesses to improve future programs;
  9. Preparing written and visual reports of implemented programs and maintaining their archives;
  10. Preparing semester and annual reports of activities and submitting them to the university’s Chancellor and other relevant authorities.
