Competencies and Responsibilities of the Directorate of Quality Enhancement:
- Preparing the operational plan of the committee based on the university’s operational plan indicators;
- Preparing action plans based on weaknesses, feedback, and other requirements of the committee and directorate;
- Preparing meeting agendas and communicating them to committee members and relevant departments;
- Preparing committee resolutions and announcements and communicating them to members and relevant departments;
- Following up on the implementation of committee decisions and resolutions;
- Monitoring annual monitoring reports of the university’s operational programs;
- Monitoring periodic review reports of the university’s operational programs;
- Collaborating and advising faculties and departments on preparing annual monitoring and periodic review reports of academic programs;
- Collecting and consolidating annual monitoring reports of academic programs for committee approval;
- Collecting and consolidating periodic review reports of academic programs for committee approval;
- Preparing operational plans to address deficiencies, including separate annual monitoring and periodic review reports, and communicating them to all relevant units for implementation;
- Closely monitoring the implementation of operational plans included in periodic review and annual monitoring reports of academic programs;
- Preparing quarterly and annual monitoring and evaluation agendas for all academic and administrative units of the university as per the committee’s decision;
- Collaborating in preparing monitoring and evaluation checklists for all units and communicating them to sections before evaluation begins;
- Preparing quarterly monitoring and evaluation reports for all university units to present in committee meetings and providing appropriate recommendations for improvement to the Director of Quality Enhancement and Planning;
- Providing feedback to all evaluated units to address deficiencies and shortcomings;
- Reviewing and consolidating quarterly and annual reports of subcommittees on quality enhancement for approval by the main committee;
- Drafting guidelines and forms required at various levels of the university;
- Archiving all quality enhancement-related documents based on the 11 criteria and document numbers;
- Preparing a guidebook for existing quality enhancement documents;
- Aligning university bylaws, regulations, procedures, and other legislative documents with the Ministry of Higher Education;
- Proposing and conducting needs assessments for capacity-building programs aimed at continuous improvement and staff awareness;
- Analyzing needs assessments and prioritizing capacity-building programs;
- Collaborating and coordinating in organizing capacity-building and awareness programs based on needs assessments;
- Comprehensive familiarity with all accreditation documents and processes, as well as the framework for maintaining academic accreditation;
- Other tasks as deemed necessary by the Directorate of Quality Enhancement and Planning within the scope of the directorate’s activities.
