The Vice Chancellor at a Glance

Khatam al-Nabieen University (pbuh) has been pursuing the training of an informed and committed generation with the motto of commitment and expertise, and has been on this path for twelve years.

The most important goals of the Scientific Vice-Chancellor of Educational Affairs are to train committed and expert human resources at the highest scientific levels of the society, to continuously improve the quality of education, to apply the general educational policies of the Honorable Ministry of Higher Education, to strengthen executive powers, to establish communication with other universities and to expand the interaction between faculties and subordinate units. In this regard, by preparing and adjusting the general principles of educational programs and monitoring their good implementation, he performs his duties in the field of serving and advancing the general policies of the university.

This deputy has defined its vision and mission in the horizon of 2021 as follows and has included the necessary operational plans to achieve it in its strategic plan.

“Education of committed and expert human resources in line with the development of scientific programs and educational services in accordance with national and international standards in the country”.

Basic values (principles)
The scientific vice-chancellor follows principles and values that do not conflict with human, Islamic and national values. These values cannot be crossed as a red line, which is briefly listed below as the basic values:

Duties Description of the Vice Chancellor

  • Planning and proposing development and executive programs in the field of scientific and research affairs;
  • Drafting and proposing bills, regulations and executive regulations in the field of scientific and research affairs;
  • Leading and promoting scientific and research affairs;
  • Necessary actions regarding the appointment, promotion and dismissal of academic staff members;
  • Evaluating the academic curriculum and adjusting it according to the needs of the time through the relevant authorities;
  • Monitoring the implementation of academic curriculum by branches and faculties;
  • Development and development of scientific programs;
  • planning and monitoring the capacity improvement of professors;
  • The plan of the academic calendar of the university and its submission to the Supreme Council for approval;
  • Chairmanship of the Scientific Council and special committees that are created according to the case and necessity;
  • monitoring and evaluating the performance of faculties;
  • Supervision of how to distribute courses and schedule classes;
  • Reviewing, verifying and sending the professors’ monthly performance reports to the university president;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the activity of the administrative and executive forces of the Academic Vice-Chancellor;
  • performing the duties of the university president in his absence;
  • report on their activities to the president of the university and the Supreme Council;
  • Other duties that are legally entrusted to the scientific assistant according to the requirements of the duties.

The bill of the above duties, in paragraph 17, is valid after the approval of the honorable president of the university.

Academic Vice-Chancellor, together with their subordinate units, spend their utmost efforts to improve the quality of education and to provide university education with committed and expert forces.
