Research is one of the main characteristics of the master’s degree, and the students of the master’s degree need to first learn the research method and be equipped with the knowledge of the research method before conducting the research. Because in Afghan universities, central research has not yet found its proper place; More operational work needs to be done on this issue. Realizing this importance, the Department of Research of Khatam Al-Nabieen (PBUH) University felt the need to launch a workshop on research methods and essay writing for students.
The mentioned workshop was held in three two-hour sessions and mainly the sessions were divided into practical and theoretical parts. At the beginning of each session, the theoretical topics in the discussion of research methods and essay writing were presented by the presenter, and in the second part of the sessions, students’ scientific activities were carried out.
In this workshop, three days of detailed work on the research plan was done with the students so that the students could familiarize themselves with the research method through practice. One of the characteristics of this workshop was the simple and eloquent expression of the research method in the research plan section and how the components of an article should be. The parts of the research design that are complex were further explained in this workshop.

At the end of the three-day workshop, a survey form was distributed to the participants to add to the richness of the programs through their opinions. According to the answers provided by the participants, the program was evaluated 96.9% positively, 0.8% without comment and 2% negatively; The analysis table and a sample of the survey form are included in the appendices.
