A scientific conference titled “Migration Phenomenon; Opportunities and Responsibilities” was held by Khatam Al-Nabieen University (PBUH) in collaboration with the Research Institute of Islamic Sciences and Culture in Qom, Iran. In this conference, Dr. Seyyed Abdul Qayyum Sajjadi, President of Khatam Al-Nabieen (PBUH) University, Dr. Izadehi, Director of the Department of Political Jurisprudence, and Dr. Salehi, Researcher of the Research Institute, discussed the issue. According to the speakers, migration is an Islamic and human category that creates valuable opportunities for immigrants and the immigrant society. Magnifying the threat posed by Afghan immigrants in Iran, with political goals and political exploitations, is an unjust and unrealistic interpretation that harms the interests of both sides. Dealing well with immigrants is one of the Islamic and religious duties of Muslims, and using the opportunities of this phenomenon is one of the responsibilities of those involved in the affairs of immigrants and related officials. The speakers emphasized the political, economic and cultural opportunities caused by migration and called this phenomenon the cause of transferring experiences, more cultural exchange and ultimately the social growth and development of the immigrant and host society. In this meeting, the religious and value commonalities, the cultural and historical commonalities of the two nations were also mentioned as the axes of the social cohesion of the two nations, which immigration can play a constructive role in strengthening and deepening.
