3- Brief introduction of Faculty of Economics and Management

Faculty of Economics and Management is the third school established at Khatam Al-Nibieen University (S), with the aim of teaching Economics and Management in 2010. Now, the faculty has five faculty members in Kabul and four faculty members in Ghazni Branch, with a total of 249 undergraduate students at the center and alike at Ghazni Branch. Whereas, about 30 percent of the students are female. This faculty has successfully delivered four course graduates in economics and one course graduate in business management to the country. The faculty has a clear vision for more expansion and development with its current Economics and Management faculty at of Khatam al-Nubieen University; it can be claimed that in the beginning of the fourteen century of lunar year, this faculty is a pioneer school among all economic faculties and Universities of higher education throughout Afghanistan with high education quality, standard indicators, more distinctive research activities and graduates with distinct academic and skills in the fields of economics and management. “

The mission of the Faculty of Management and Economics of Khatam Al-Nubieen University is to provide quality human force for economic and executive management of the country, and carry out research and applied projects through attracting and educating elite interested students in management and economics.

To achieve the aforementioned vision and mission, we prioritize the values such as learning and innovation, teamwork, ethics, leadership and strategic partnership with the beneficiaries. Thus, the faculty is currently drafting its five-year strategic plan in this direction.

Department of Economics

The Economic Department is one of the departments of faculty of Economics and Management, that Mr. Mohammad Rahmani is responsible for it as a head of that department. This department pursues the following objectives as its fundamental and existential goals:

• Leading and pursuing economic research and development towards Afghanistan’s economic growth and development

• Preparing and training of students and economic experts in the fields of economics and planning of the country

• Training specialist human resource required by organizations and executive agencies in economic matters

• Advancement of economics boundaries in terms of theoretical and practical aspects through reviewing and updating curriculum and implementing standard educational contents.
